What is changing in the rules, and what it means for you

Short, practical articles on the rules that affect retail investors in your market: no legal jargon, no hype.

How to read the notes that follow

Written for people who are starting

Every note here assumes you have no prior training in markets. When a term cannot be avoided, it is explained the first time it appears, and when a rule differs by country, that is stated rather than skipped.

What you will not find

No price predictions and no signals. Anything presented as a guaranteed return is the clearest warning sign in this industry, and we are not going to add another one.

How often this is updated

Notes are reviewed when the underlying rules change: a new regulation, a new reporting requirement, a change in how deposits are handled. The date on each note is the date of its last review, not the date it was first written.

If there is a question the notes do not answer, send it through the contact page; recurring questions usually become the next note.
